Last Saturday, I invited local men to come and get some headshots done for my portfolio. Mr. Mike Charleston came again so I could re-take his pictures (I did not like the last ones I did) and I had Mr. D come and visit for some of his headshots. It took less than ten minuests for these great portraits! I create these special portraits in both color and B&W. Packages for headshots start at $55.
I will be having a session in July for women, and I will have two spots open for two more men to come and get headshots done for my portfolio.
Why should men get headshots?

Today, I'm posting about a dear friend of ours, Mike Charleston. He is the first in an upcoming serise of mens headshots. He recently started his own window cleaning business, and was in need of a headshot for his new website. He has over 10 years of window cleaning experience. He cleans both commercial and residential windows.

Last month, I went to Pretend Play Party to host a Summer Themed Photoshoot. Sadly, only one family showed up, but I still felt blest to have a super cute little girl come in and pretend about Summer! Since she was dressed in pink, we went all out in pink and had a blast. Here are a few images from that session:
The theme for the month of June is 4th of July! I will have a separate blog post in the next few days highlighting that special event! Be sure to come and have your kids dress up! :D

I was asked to come to a local MOPS group to do some "Mommy and Me" Portraits for the end of the year party. I set up in a room down the hall from where the party was taking place and the moms came in, one by one with their cute little ones and got their photographs created. Roughest part, was the air conditioning broke in the room we were in. SO the warm Lousiana weather, plus all the heat the lights were putting out, made for some fun times (I say that sarcastically!). But I really did have a blast getting to know each of these moms.
Enjoy the slideshow!

Last week, I had the privilege to create some more images for A Big Deal Consignment's monthly ad campaigns. They needed some tiny Tiger's fans to represent the cute little outfits they sell in their consignment store. They have some boutique versions of this clothing and from time to time people will bring in LSU clothing their kids have grown out of. I think we all had a blast. You'll see two images where the kids are crying, and I think (please forgive me) but these will make some great images to reflect how people feel when they see the Tigers loose a game, especially to Alabama....

What do you get when you mix
36 babies
36 colorful cloth diapers
and a challenge to break a worldwide record??
THE GREAT CLOTH DIAPER CHANGE!
I never knew an event like this existed, but I was very happy to participate as the official photographer. ~35 moms came to the event at the Jones Creek Library in Baton Rouge to change all their little ones into cloth diapers at the same time.
The fun part about the image above, is that it is a smash of multiple images made into a panorama. Since we ended up in a room due to rainy weather, it made it a little challenging to get all the babies...

A few weeks ago, my family and I went out to Arizona to see my Sister-in-Law and her husband. While we were out there, she asked me to do a little photoshoot of her dog Jethro. Jethro is a Shar-Pei. He is very handsome and very friendly. I waited a few days to do his session, which ended up being a good idea. He and I had become such good friends, he allowed me to create pictures of him where I wanted to do it (mostly).

One thing I can do, is if the weather is right, do a dual session in my home. One part of the session is done indoors (individual portraits, couples) and the other part outdoors (group, family). With the L. family, we had a blast doing both indoor and outdoor. I had the honor of creating images of Andrea's parents (Andrea owns Andi Lynns Elderberries see here).
"Behind the Photo" is a weekly blog post featuring the most recent sessions with my clients. I post these on Wednesdays. Be sure to contact me soon to schedule your own session!

A few weeks ago, I visited Cavalier House Books in Downtown Denham Springs. They are a wonderful book store that has been open for over three years. They offer a great selection of new and used books. I love book stores that offer used books! They also sell magazines, from food to fashion and everything in between. John and Michelle are a wonderful sweet couple and you will not regret going to their bookstore!
You will now find links to their facebook page and website on my "Support Local Small Business" tap on my webpage. If you are ever interested in being featured feel free...

A few weeks ago, my oldest had his birthday. To make his day a little extra special, I called my friends over for some cake. While they were there, my friend (and fellow photographer) Kimberly, brought her new camera over. We set up my studio and we were hoping to allow her a few extra pictures, but sadly, her camera was not compatible with my camera.
In the end, we got some great images of her siblings. They are such a blast!
